Before Halloween, Class 6 English visited the library to review the library’s Dewey Decimal system. Class 6 acted out the information in the presentation before putting their knowledge to the test by placing books on a subject in the Dewey classification system. Great job Class 6 English!
We have a very exciting election happening in the library. Library Club has decided it is time to vote for your favorite Harry Potter character. The finalists are Hagrid and Bellatrix. Tune in November 7th to find out the winner!
This year Class 6 World Cultures visited their library the first day of school and competed in the Amazing Race Library Edition to become familiar with their Middle School library.
This year Elise Broach was our Book Fair author. Class 6 English students read Shakespeare’s Secret.

Class 6 students came to the library to create poems using book spines! This is always one of our favorite collaborations with our English teachers. The students did an excellent job as book spine poets!
The SJS Middle School Library celebrated our top library patrons from this school year with our annual Class 6 Star Reader Celebration!
15 of our students joined us for a fun Chick-fil-A lunch in the library. We took photos for the library READ posters to be displayed next school year and hosted a raffle for free books!

It’s March Madness again in the St. John’s middle school library!
We’re having a competition among the most popular books in the library. We ran a report to see which books and e-books were checked out the most this school year, then created a bracket with 8 of our top books.
